About your next role

You will manage the daily operations of a 24-room accommodation facility on behalf of Yolngu traditional owners to ensure a positive guest experience and provide meaningful career pathways for local staff.

  • Provide physical and administrative support for the Lodge, including stock control, cleaning, and logistics
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Yolngu staff to support their development and professional growth
  • Undertake facility maintenance, equipment management, and scheduling of repairs
  • Implement internal and external marketing strategies to build the client base and promote online bookings
  • Coordinate with the ALPA Registered Training Organisation to support staff training initiatives
  • Manage supplementary labour requirements based on occupancy levels and maintenance needs
  • Provide regular reporting on staff performance and the status of planned improvements to the Enterprise Operations Manager
  • Act as a champion for ALPA values and maintain a strict commitment to work health and safety

What you will need to bring

  • Proven experience at a supervisory level within an accommodation or hospitality business

  • High ethical standards, personal integrity, and the capacity to link daily tasks to organizational values

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication for people of diverse language abilities and ethnic origins

  • Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

  • The ability to make sound decisions and respond promptly to changing circumstances in a dynamic work environment

  • Experience working with First Nations people in a remote environment (highly desirable)

  • Qualifications in hospitality or business management (highly desirable)

Mandatory Requirements

  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Northern Territory driving licence

    Ability to travel to remote communities via small light aircraft (safety guidelines require a weight of 140kg or less
